\"mike\"<\/a>After a roller-coaster undergraduate experience, a couple of masters\u00a0degrees and an uninspiring advertising career, Mike Metzler ventured\u00a0into teaching, where he has found his bliss and earned praise from\u00a0every corner. Now, having taught nearly two decades of high school\u00a0and college combined, Mike has learned a few things about the\u00a0challenging transition from high school to college life, and he\u2019s eager\u00a0to share his insights in Carpe College!.<\/div>\n

A native Chicagoan, Mike picked up stakes and spent seven years on a Minnesota farm while his kids were younger.\u00a0 Now his family resides in upstate New York, where Mike teaches, plays pick-up hoops, guitar, and baseball for old(er) guys. Oh yeah… and he invented a drink called the “Grape & Granny.”<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I will never\u00a0forget you \u2022 I have always looked forward to coming to your class \u2022\u00a0You have been the most intriguing teacher \u2013 my all-time favorite \u2013 no\u00a0lie! \u2022 You taught me to be excited when my thoughts differ from\u00a0others, and you simply taught me to think better \u2022 Your passion makes\u00a0us want to learn \u2022 Whatever you\u2019ve done with us, it worked! \u2022 The\u00a0most enjoyable class of my high school career! \u2022 I would like to\u00a0become his friend, not just his student \u2022 Mike is an amazing guy \u2022 He\u00a0was a great teacher and his class was one of the only classes that I\u00a0looked forward to go to \u2022 I would really like to continue being in his\u00a0class for the next 5 years \u2022 He was very interested in helping us adjust\u00a0to college life \u2022 Mike was really impressive and an amazing teacher.
